We really thought that we should do one last final HDBD photo.  Not only is this one really big baby - but the hardest thing for me to believe is how small I was before this baby got so stinkin' huge!

This may not look that low until you compare it to earlier pictures, like the one from just LAST WEEK:

Wow!  So the word on the street (AKA - knowledge from Momma Mags) is that first babies come out roughly about three weeks after they drop.  This one is officially dropped.  That puts me guesstimating the grand arrival at roughly my due date!  YAY!

For anyone not in the know - we're officially due on March 19th.  However, we just found out that if Baby does make a grand entrance by March 23rd, we're going to go in for an induction.  Not too bad, Baby.  Just come on out when you're ready - any minute now...

We got some really wonderful news at our ultrasound appointment yesterday morning!  Baby has flipped and is now head down.  YAY!  We were able to cancel our scheduled C-Section because Baby is no longer breech.


And I think Baby finally flipped two nights ago - or maybe even yesterday morning based on how the kicking changed - but Don thinks that my belly even just looks different now too.  Here's the HDBD photo from last week and the one from this morning...  drop much?  ;)

We actually took this picture on Wednesday - but I'm just now getting around to posting it.  It's been a loooong week and I have a feeling this weekend is going to be kind of crazy too...

 

Yes, those are painting supplies and other general construction craziness in the background.  Don't you just love the builder dust on my pants?  :)

PS - if it looks like Baby is huge in my belly, that's because Baby IS huge! At our last ultrasound (yesterday), the tech estimated Baby's current weight at 4 lb 4 oz and at the 69th percentile. At this rate, we're guessing Baby will be 8-8.5 lbs by delivery. YIKES!

As you can see - Baby is getting pretty big now!  According to BabyCenter - about 3 lbs!  3 whole pounds!

And Baby isn't just getting big - but moving a lot too.  Yesterday while I was riding the bus I could see Baby moving WHILE I WAS WEARING MY COAT!  Now that, my friends, is an active baby!  (And a happy one!)

We barely made it today.  Phew!

Not only am I getting HUGE - but I believe my nesting instincts are starting to kick in.  I'm knitting a blanket - and I baked cookies from scratch twice in the last 4 days.   Of course, maybe those two things are related?

Hump Day Bump Day! (11/11)

We've made it to another HDBD!  This one almost got by too!  You'll have to forgive my lack of posting lately.  I'm going to blame it on a shorter-than-usual attention span...

The bump is getting so big - I think we should call it something else now... maybe a mound?  No - probably more like extra-planet-on-my-belly.  That doesn't have quite the same ring to it though.  I guess we'll stick with bump for now...

Good news!  We found my phone!  I had left it in a friend's car.  I know, I know - I should be more careful.  But hey - at least I didn't leave it in a cab... this time.

While we were taking this photo, Don said "stop sticking out your butt."  He really did.  And then he immediately lost brownie points.  It's okay though - he won them again when he made me a delicious lunch.  YUMMY!

Hump Day Bump Day! (9/30)

It's Hump Day Bump Day (HDBD) again!  YAY!  And as promised, I'm including the very first HDBD photo for easy comparison...

Okay - so I KNEW that I would get big.  But I had no idea how quickly!  It's been about a month since we've started taking pictures and it's already pretty obvious that my belly is serious about getting really big.  I'll be 4 months on Friday.  5 more to go...

With all this growing that I have left to do - I'm just hoping that Baby isn't going to be ginormously huge - like that 19.5 pounder in Indonesia last week. 

Hump Day Bump Day! (9/25)

Wow!  I'm not quite to 15 weeks yet, and I can't believe how big I'm getting!  Maybe it's that it's my first pregnancy and I'm not sure what to expect.  Or maybe it's Don constantly telling me "you're going to be HUGE!"  with a gigantic smile plastered all over his face.  (He's cute.)

Regardless - Starting with next week's HDBD, I've decided to repost the first picture (taken 9/9) once a month for easy comparison.  (My old boy, Tufte, seems like he would like the idea of comparison...)

In the meantime though - enjoy today's photo.  :)
